OCP

Olefin copolymer (OCP) is a high stable viscosity modifier used to improve the viscosity index (VI) of lubricating oils. It increases viscosity at high temperatures while contributing minimally to viscosity at low temperatures.

Key properties of OCP:

  • Solid form for convenient handling and storage
  • Excellent solubility in Group I, II, and III base stocks
  • Superior viscosity enhancement and stability
  • High shear resistance under operational stress

Olefin-based viscosity modifiers are recommended for formulating crankcase oils, industrial lubricants, and greases. Thanks to its amorphous structure, OCP enhances tackiness, structural stability and delivers excellent low-temperature performance and requires low treat rates to achieve desired pour point characteristics

DYM Resources sources and supplies OCP viscosity modifiers globally.
