Base Oil BS 150 is defined as a base oil at the upper end of the specifications for Grade I base oils. Bright stock base oils are high viscosity oils produced at Group I base oil refineries by atmospheric and vacuum distillation, extracting and dewaxing solvents from residual oils and hydro finishing.
It has viscosity 28.0-33.5 cSt at 100C and 461-597 cSt at 40C.
Most of Group III and Group II refineries have no possibility to produce such heavy grades as bright stock, only few of them can make base oils with viscosity @ 100C above 20 cSt, which creates a high demand for this product.
Applications:
- Engine oils
- Transmission fluids
- Gear oils
- Metalworking fluids
- Greases
- Hydraulic oils
- Transformer oils
Packing: BS 150 base oils can be delivered in flexi-containers, iso-tank, IBCs in 20-feet containers or bulk vessels for export, or trucks inside Europe. In Russia and CIS countries the product is available in rail tank cars. For colder destinations we suggest to delivery brightstock in iso-tanks with heating as the product become too viscous with temperature close to 0C.
