DYM Resources starts bitumen export sales

DYM Resources plans to start ordinary bitumen as well as polymer modified bitumen export sales in 2018, the company reported.

«Bitumen production in Russia is growing while quality of the product is improving, and variety of different grades is growing» – comments Denis Varaksin, DYM Resources director.

DYM Resources can offer various bitumen in 1-ton clovertainer packing in 20-foot containers as well as bulk in rail tank cars and in trucks. DYM Resources is able to supply bitumen from Rosneft, Lukoil, Gapzromneft, Turkmenbashy and other major suppliers in CIS region.

Bitumen sales in Russia reached 5,9 mln tons in 2016, up 9% compared to year earlier according to Russian consulting services.

Polymer modified bitumen sales also increased by 9% to 280 000 tons in 2016.

Russia has export duty for bitumen which reached 131,80 USD/mt in June 2018. Polymer modified bitumen has no export duty, which makes this product more competitive for export loading. Polymer modified bitumen increase road quality and extend maintenance periods from usual 3 years to 6 years.
Bitumen is mainly used in road construction and construction industries as a waterproof material.
