DYM Resources’ report on Russian base oil exports in March was quoted by Lubes’N’Greases, an independent media about the lubricants industry. Here are the key takeaways:
- Russian base oil exports increased 15% in March compared to the previous month
- In the first quarter of 2021 this number is 3% higher than in the first quarter of 2020
- The increase was driven mostly by Lukoil
- The biggest growth in the March rail shipments was at the ports of Kaliningrad, Russia and Liepaja, Latvia.
Lubes’N’Greases also published a comment of DYM Resources’ director Denis Varaksin explaining the March exports rise:
“The increase to the West was caused by extreme tightness in the base oils market, especially in [solvent] neutral grades starting from SN350, SN400 and SN500 and to heavy grades, such as SN900, SN1200 and bright stock, or BS-150. When key Western suppliers struggle to offer any product on the spot, Russia remains one of the few outlets where base oils are still available for spot purchase,” Varaksin said.
DYM Resources is a professional trading company specializing in the supply of Group I, Group II and Group III base oils from Russia and other export-oriented countries. At the moment DYM Resources can offer SN350, SN500, brightstock (or BS-150), VHVI-4 (Group III 4 cSt) and HVI-2 (or 70N) base oils for loading in flexi-tanks or trucks.
